          EXT. JACK'S WORKSHOP, MIDDAY

Jack stands, bold and ready for action. His jetpack strapped
to his back. He bends his knees, bracing for the sudden jolt
of thrust from the powerful, sleekly designed engine on his
          back.

He hits the ignition button on his chest control panel.

The jet pack cycles up, splutters and coughs, and dies in a
          cloud of smoke.

Jack slumps his shoulders and trudges back into his
          workshop, trailing smoke behind him.

          EXT. JACK'S WORKSHOP, MIDDAY

Jack emerges from his workshop. The jet pack strapped to his
back altered, now with a huge mechanical fan. He bends his
knees, bracing for the long anticipated pull of the engine.

He hits the ignition button on his control panel.

The jet pack rumbles, spits smoke, then flies off his back,
ripping his jacket off, and sending him tumbling to the
          ground.

Jack gets up, covers himself, slumps his shoulders, and
          heads back into his workshop.

          EXT. JACK'S WORKSHOP, MIDDAY

Jack once again exits his workshop. The jet pack on his back
equipped with a mechanical fan, and a re-enforced harness.

Jack calmly hits the ignition button, and his pants burst
          into flame.

Jack blinks, then runs screaming into his workshop.

The jet pack comes shooting out of the roof.

          EXT. JACK'S WORKSHOP, MIDDAY

Jack, with a newly tuned jet pack, emerges once again. The
jet pack has a huge fan, a re-enforced harness, and a safety
          guard for the heat exhaust.

With a trembling hand, he hits the ignition button.

The jet pack powers up, and sends Jack, unable to turn,
          skidding into a tree.

          EXT. JACK'S WORKSHOP, MIDDAY

Jack, looking rather battered and worse for wear, emerges
          from his workshop rather skittishly.

His jet pack has been re-tooled yet again, with all the same
modifications as before, but this time with steering
          handles.

He wraps his hands tightly around the handles, and bites his
lip and closes his eyes in anticipation.

          Jack hits the ignition...

And is sent soaring into the air with an exhilarated scream.
Jack loops and rolls, laughing with uncontrollable glee.

                                                    CROSS FADE TO

          EXT. SKY, MIDDAY

The thick smoke trail coming from Jack's jet pack marks his
progress through the blue sky. His laughter and yelling is
heard, faintly. The exhaust smoke shifts, and the smoke
spells out The End in the sky.

                                                         FADE OUT

                                                          THE END
For our storyreel class we have to do a 35-40 second montage.

I settled on my Jet Pack Jack character, attempting flight.
It'll be later animated in Flash, and will give me a better chance to hash out the details of the character.

I did the script up in about 15 minutes.
